The 3D model plug-in will empower Unity creators, indie developers, and the Bittensor community with direct access to decentralised model generation.
3D model generation platform 404-GEN launched a plug-in to integrate its decentralised 3D models with cross-platform game engine, Unity.
The integration would allow users to generate models directly from the Bittensor mainnet within the Unity environment, and is available in the Unity Asset Store as a Verified Solution.
In addition, 404-GEN also introduced a digital handshake function to streamline the creative and legal processes for developers, ensuring that models generated by decentralised miners are ready for commercial use. Unity’s technical team has rigorously evaluated the technology and recommended several enhancements, flagging certain AI dependencies to ensure commercial viability.
“This integration is an important step for our ecosystem. It enables creators to work directly with decentralised 3D generation tools within the Unity editor, leveling the playing field for independent developers and designers,” said Ben James, Founder of 404-GEN. “Our technology bridges traditional game development and decentralized networks, offering a practical solution that meets the commercial standards expected in the industry.”
This move highlights a growing openness among established Web2 companies to collaborate with decentralised subnets on Bittensor.
