Fogo introduces Sessions, enabling gasless, wallet-agnostic trading across Solana dApps with one-time sign-in and enhanced security.
Layer-1 (L1) blockchain Fogo announced the launch of Fogo Sessions, a new system that enables gasless, wallet-agnostic trading across decentralised applications (dApps) on Solana.
The release introduces a chain-level primitive that combines account abstraction with paymaster infrastructure, offering users a one-click experience without repeated pop-ups or gas requirements.
DeFi adoption continues to face hurdles due to friction in user experience, and Fogo Sessions aims to address these challenges by allowing users to sign in once and trade seamlessly across the Fogo ecosystem.
Instead of holding SOL for gas or approving each transaction, users generate a one-time ‘intent message’ using any SVM-compatible wallet. Key features include a single sign-in feature, gasless trading, and ephemeral session keys that automatically expire.
Doug Colkitt, Contributor at Fogo, commented: “Fogo Sessions is our answer to the seamless functionality of one-click sign-in in Web2, without the privacy and control concerns; but this time, it’s built natively for DeFi. Users log in one time to the wallet to sign in to thousands of services for frictionless, gas-free trading in the Fogo ecosystem.”
The next update to Fogo Sessions will introduce a streamlined interface, SPL token transfers, enhanced trading guardrails, and improved guidance for session expirations.
