GASS Asia 2025 brings over 1,200 global leaders in Singapore to tackle scams with new research, strategies, and cross-border collaboration.
The Global Anti-Scam Summit (GASS) Asia 2025 by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) will be happening between 2 and 3 September in Singapore, bringing together more than 1,200 industry leaders, policymakers, and enforcement agencies from over 60 countries in person and online to address practical strategies for preventing and disrupting online scams at scale.
“Scams are no longer isolated incidents – they are a systemic, cross-border threat. GASA’s role is to connect the dots, not only across sectors but across borders, creating the shared infrastructure needed to act faster and smarter,” said Jorij Abraham, Managing Director of GASA. “Over the past year, we’ve expanded our membership, launched new national chapters in high-priority markets, and strengthened data sharing through the Global Signal Exchange. The summit is where these efforts come together to deliver concrete action.”
GASA’s membership has doubled globally, with the Singapore Chapter now exceeding 100 members, including major organisations such as Amazon and Google alongside government, enforcement, and civil society stakeholders. Singapore’s role as a strategic testbed for anti-scam policy frameworks, technology pilots, and cross-sector coordination has cemented its position as a hub for regional collaboration.
In the past year, GASA has strengthened its presence across Southeast Asia, establishing chapters in two key markets: the Philippines and Indonesia. These economies are predominantly mobile-first, with widespread use of digital finance tools, making scams a serious consumer and economic threat.
More than 35 organisations are now contributing scam signals to the Global Signal Exchange (GSE), which acts as a global clearing house for the real-time exchange of scam and fraud threat signals. Since its launch in January 2025, the GSE has grown from 40 million to 370 million signals, and has over 230 organisations that are now either onboarded or in the process of joining.
Event highlights at GASS Asia 2025 includes a fireside chat with Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State and Patron of the GASA Singapore Chapter, followed by the launch of the Southeast Asia Scam Report by Chapter Chair Rajat Maheshwari. The summit will also feature in-depth panel discussions on the latest scam typologies, regional enforcement strategies, and tactics to disrupt cross-border networks.
Delegates will gain exclusive insights from INTERPOL on cybercrime operations and challenges in Asia, and from the United Nations on trafficking networks driving scam centres. Researcher Paul Raffile will share his expertise on cyber extortion, impersonation scams, and the blind spots in protecting digital victims. The programme also includes the anti-scam pitch room, where innovators present real-world prevention and detection solutions, and the launch of new anti-scam resources by GASA members, including the Tech for Good Institute.
