The Malaysia Blockchain Week 2025 (MYBW), organised by Lydian Labs, concluded its second edition with 6,834 attendees from 92 countries. Held on 21–22 July at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, the event featured 170 speakers, 68 sponsors, and over 90 side events ranging from panels and exhibitions to networking sessions and leisure activities.

The Co-founder of Lydian Labs, Noelle Lee, said: “This isn’t just another gathering. It’s a clear signal that Malaysia is ready to lead. The foundation has been laid, and now is the time to move forward with purpose. Let us build boldly, innovate fearlessly, and shape the future together.”

The event brought together government ministries and industry leaders to discuss blockchain’s role in Malaysia’s economic future. MOSTI launched the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure (MBI), aiming to position the country as a regional digital hub.

Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang, said: “This is the essence of Malaysia’s MADANI vision: where innovation meets compassion, progress is guided by trust, and technology serves all levels of society.”

Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, emphasised the need for a supportive environment for blockchain growth, noting: “I emphasised the need to truly understand the opportunities ahead for the local blockchain industry, as well as the challenges that must be addressed.”

Global leaders, including executives from IOTA, Nansen.ai, and Coinbase joined Malaysian innovators to share insights on decentralised infrastructure, AI-blockchain integration, and regulatory trends.

Co-founder of Lydian Labs, Dr Ian Tan, concluded: “With the conclusion of MYBW 2025, we hope this shines a brighter light on Malaysia—not just as a host, but as a launchpad.”
