Maple brings syrupUSDT to Plasma, boosting liquidity and advancing its roadmap toward US$5 billion in AUM by year-end.
On-chain asset manager Maple has launched syrupUSDT on Plasma, the new payments-focused blockchain backed by Tether. The move marks the first deployment of syrupUSDT beyond Ethereum, broadening Maple’s footprint across ecosystems while strengthening Plasma’s liquidity base.
Users can deposit syrupUSDT into a vault hosted by Midas, earning yield alongside rewards for Plasma’s upcoming mainnet launch and token generation event (TGE).
“This launch underscores our excitement over Plasma and its importance as a payments ecosystem,” said Sid Powell, CEO of Maple.
“Plasma’s high performance and focus on USDT align naturally with Maple’s mission to deliver sustainable, curated, and high-quality dollar yield at scale. We believe this deployment will strengthen liquidity across the ecosystem while advancing Maple’s goal of reaching US$5 billion in AUM this year.”
The pre-deposit vault will go live later at 9am ET on September 16, with further DeFi integrations expected as partner deployments expand on Plasma.
