Mantle DAO announced that it will be integrating MetaCene, a next-generation blockchain MMORPG, on the Mantle Network.
The partnership between Mantle and MetaCene seeks to lower barriers to entry for users new to Web3 and enable more gamers to enjoy gaming experiences powered by blockchain technology. MetaCene has secured US$15M over two rounds of early-stage funding, backed by industry heavyweights like Mantle EcoFund, Folius Ventures, SevenX Ventures, and Animoca Ventures.
MetaCene leverages its Realms Server Network to incorporate its gaming experience with Web3 functionalities such as decentralised assets, governance rights and GameFi opportunities. The project’s Apostle NFT collection also saw over 500 NFTs reaching a floor price of 1.88 ETH, showcasing strong market confidence.

Metacene is said to have tested and trialed the game before launching it on the market with its 500,000 ecosystem users, onboarded across three alpha testing phases with a 75% day-one retention and 51% 14-day retention.
