Singapore-based RushOwl secures funding to expand its AI-powered mobility service that cuts emissions by half and shortens commutes by 30%.
RushOwl, a Singapore-based ride-sharing platform focused on sustainable commuting, has raised US$10 million in Series A funding led by Gobi Partners, with the Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (HKIC), the patient capital arm of the Hong Kong Government, participating in the round alongside Gobi as an investment partner.
Founded in 2018 by CEO Shin Ng, CTO Ho Songyan, and COO Kris Lee, RushOwl partners with corporates and schools to deliver shared, carbon-efficient journeys. At the heart of its service is RushOS, an AI-based dynamic routing algorithm that pools trip requests for shared travel.
RushOS is also designed with autonomous vehicle readiness in mind, optimising fleet use for sustainable returns. According to the company, this technology lowers carbon emissions by 50% and reduces commute times by 30% compared to public transport.
The platform’s mobile app, RushTrail, serves 250,000 users, mainly staff and students. By facilitating shorter journeys and reducing reliance on private vehicles, RushOwl enables commuters to cut travel costs while contributing to lower emissions.
With this new funding, RushOwl plans to expand its platform further, scaling operations and advancing its vision of more sustainable and efficient urban mobility.
