Former Meta executive and sports media leader Rob Shaw joins Stocktwits to scale the digital-first investor platform.
Stocktwits, an online community for investors and traders, announced the appointment of Rob Shaw as Chief Operating Officer. Shaw, a former Meta executive and veteran in digital and sports media, will report directly to Co-founder and CEO Howard Lindzon.
“Rob has a proven track record of building engaged communities, driving revenue, and scaling growth on digital platforms across diverse media verticals,” said Howard Lindzon, Co-founder and CEO of Stocktwits. “His deep understanding of how the modern user consumes content and the technology required to successfully execute against it will be invaluable as we shape the future of investing.”
Shaw spent nearly a decade at Meta as Director of Global Sports Media Partnerships, where he led the company’s sports strategy, launching Facebook’s sports video and live streaming initiatives, and securing landmark sponsorships such as Meta Quest’s partnership with the NBA.
“After over a decade building engaged communities at Meta and launching a major sports network, what drew me to Stocktwits is that they’ve built the most influential, digital-first investor platform where distinct investor communities – from crypto to long-term investors to day traders – can thrive,” said Shaw.
“Stocktwits is perfectly positioned to create authentic, dedicated spaces that serve investors exactly what they want, when they want it, by the creators who know these spaces best.”
The appointment strengthens Stocktwits’ executive leadership as the platform continues scaling its content and community offerings. Shaw joins Chief Commercial Officer Anne Marie Gianutsos and Chief Strategy Officer Shiv Sharma, forming part of an expanded leadership team under Lindzon
