
SANDchain launches as a creator-first blockchain, building on The Sandbox ecosystem to deliver cross-platform creator rewards.
The SANDchain Foundation today announced the launch of SANDchain, a creator-first blockchain network designed to empower creators across digital platforms.
Built on the foundation of The Sandbox’s established ecosystem of more than 8 million users, 25,000 LAND owners, 400 brand partners, 1,500 creator-built games, and 700,000 user-generated experiences, SANDchain aims to serve the wider global creator economy.
Sébastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox and global ambassador for SANDchain, said: “By rewarding loyalty, we’re transforming fans into active participants in culture and paving the way towards a ‘Creator Nation’ that is built, owned, grown, and funded by its creators and supporters.”
SANDchain introduces three integrated value layers: SANDpoints, representing network-wide reputation and loyalty; Creator Points, which track support for individual creators and grant access to token allocations; and Creator Tokens, tradeable assets linked to a creator’s brand.
The network’s core products include Patron Vaults, providing capital reserves for creator loans funded by investors, and Creator Vaults, which aggregate receivables from Web2 revenues such as YouTube and TikTok to support predictable loan repayment.
Each interaction on SANDchain increases the utility of the SAND token, already listed on more than 80 global exchanges and among the world’s top 100 cryptocurrencies. The SAND token will now act as a universal currency for the creator economy, expanding beyond gaming to power a cross-platform economic system. The network is built using the ZK Stack from ZKsync, ensuring scalability, security, and low fees, with all transactions secured by the SAND token.

SANDchain was formally introduced at TOKEN2049 Singapore, and the testnet is scheduled to debut on 14 October 2025.
