The partnership with TRM Labs aims to combine identity verification and blockchain intelligence to prevent crypto fraud prevention.
Verification platform Sumsub and TRM Labs have partnered to combine blockchain intelligence with identity verification and behavioural fraud detection, enabling a unified approach to crypto fraud prevention and compliance.
The integration allows Sumsub users to access TRM’s risk intelligence to screen wallet addresses, score transactions, and review risk signals directly within Sumsub’s Crypto Monitoring platform.
The collaboration addresses rising illicit activity in the sector. Data from TRM’s Chainabuse platform showed a 456% year-on-year increase in reports of generative AI-enabled scams between May 2024 and April 2025, while Sumsub reported a 48% increase in fraud across the crypto industry in 2024, representing 2.2% of all verification attempts.
Key features of the integration include early detection of high-risk wallet addresses, advanced risk scoring based on exposure to threat categories, and unified monitoring of identity and on-chain data. Customers can connect existing TRM subscriptions to Sumsub via a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model, maintaining full control over sensitive data.
