AI-powered WizzTutor debuts in Singapore, delivering curriculum-aligned support, real-time feedback, and parent dashboards for just $2 a day.
AI learning platform WizzTutor officially launched in Singapore to provide affordable, personalised Mathematics support for secondary school students.
The platform offers step-by-step guidance aligned with the national curriculum at a cost of approximately $2 per day, positioning itself as a practical alternative to traditional tuition.
Students using WizzTutor gain access to a question bank of over 10,000 problems spanning the full Secondary 1 to 5 syllabus, based on the Ministry of Education’s framework. A handwriting-friendly interface allows learners to work through solutions directly on their device’s screen.
The built-in “Homework Helper” feature enables students to take a photo of a question and receive immediate, guided assistance without needing to type complex equations.
The platform is browser-based and optimised for use on smartphones, tablets, and laptops, requiring no app installation. Students can engage with it outside classroom hours to reinforce concepts and prepare for exams, including key milestones like the O Levels.
For parents, the system provides a real-time dashboard and weekly progress reports to monitor their child’s learning activity and development.
Co-founder Samuel Swee, a former MOE Teaching Scholar, said the idea emerged from seeing students struggle to access support outside school hours. “Bright teens often fell behind because help wasn’t there at 11 pm,” he said. “WizzTutor puts an adaptive, private math tutor in every student’s pocket for just about the price of a kopi. This makes it a practical option for parents who need extra academic support for their children.”
His co-founder Clifford Teo, who has built products in fintech, mobility, and Web3, sees education as a space for long-term impact. “WizzTutor is designed to augment, not replace, classroom and tuition support by offering personalised help on demand,” he said. “It’s about strengthening the ecosystem so more learners can succeed.”
The launch comes amid growing AI adoption among students. A recent CNA survey found 84% of Singapore secondary students use AI tools weekly, with 63% using them specifically for mathematics.
National initiatives such as the Adaptive Learning System on the Student Learning Space signal a broader shift towards personalised digital education. WizzTutor builds on this trend, aiming to deliver targeted support that is both affordable and scalable.
