The protocol states that its platform sources leverage from investors seeking stable yield rather than investors taking short positions, which it claims reduces the cost of maintaining leveraged positions by around 75% compared with conventional single-stock leveraged ETFs.
Rather than offering standard 2x or 3x leverage across assets, 2factor uses asset-specific leverage targets designed to account for volatility and long-term compounding.
The launch follows Coinbase’s introduction of tokenised equities on Base, which enables developers to combine listed stocks with other on-chain assets and protocols.
