Traders can use eligible Stock Tokens to meet margin requirements, expanding their trading strategies further.

Decentralised exchange Arcus has launched Multi-Asset Collateral, allowing eligible Stock Tokens to serve as collateral for perpetuals positions without having to sell them first.

The feature gives traders more flexibility in trading strategies and allows them to take short positions against an existing Stock Token. Previously, Arcus traders needed USDG in their perpetuals account to meet margin requirements, but the new Multi-Asset Collateral feature allows eligible Stock Tokens to be used to meet those requirements.

At launch, SPY, QQQ, MAG7 Stock Tokens, and ETH are eligible as collateral; traders will be able to borrow up to 50% of the value of their eligible Stock Tokens. Non-USDG spot asset deposits will also be capped at US$2 million across the platform and US$20,000 per user.

Eddie Zhang, Founder and CEO of Arcus, said: “Multi-Asset Collateral lets traders use the value of eligible Stock Tokens across both sides of the platform, whether they’re looking to maintain an existing position, put on a new trade or hedge their exposure.”
