Crypto wallet platform Bitget Wallet has launched Virtual Account, a feature that gives users a USD and EUR account number.
Funds deposited into a Virtual Account can be converted to USDT or USDC stablecoins and can be used across Bitget Wallet’s full suite of financial tools, including card spending and cross-border transfers.
The feature is supported by their licensed global payments partner, Noah, and also accepts traditional incoming transfers via familiar bank services such as ACH, Fedwire, and SEPA.
With the latest launch, the Bitget Wallet team hopes to target three main use cases: cross-border transfers, international remittances, and removing the need for a middleman.
Alvin Kan, COO of Bitget Wallet, said: “For many users, especially in markets where access to dollar accounts or cross-border banking remains limited, bringing these payment rails directly into a self-custodial wallet creates a more accessible way to participate in the global financial system.”
Shah Ramezani, Founder and CEO of Noah, added: “Users can receive dollars and euros, hold them, and send money across borders. It effectively works like a global neobank, except users control their own keys.”
