Bitget Wallet has launched a virtual Visa card in Nigeria, allowing users to spend stablecoins worldwide and earn cashback on digital assets.

Wallet provider Bitget Wallet has launched its Bitget Wallet Card in Nigeria, allowing users to spend stablecoin balances at supported merchants worldwide through Visa’s payment network.

The virtual card is issued through the Bitget Wallet app and supports Google Pay for online and contactless purchases. Users can also earn cashback in cryptocurrency and tokenised assets through the card’s Assetback programme.

The launch expands Bitget Wallet’s payment services in one of Africa’s key cryptocurrency markets and gives users another way to use their stablecoin holdings for everyday purchases.

Alvin Kan, Chief Operating Officer of Bitget Wallet, said: “The next step is making crypto useful across the entire money cycle, from receiving income and managing savings to investing and paying for everyday purchases.”
