These appointments reflect Bitpanda’s focus on strong corporate governance as the company advances its position within the global financial ecosystem.

European digital assets platform Bitpanda has appointed three additional members — Katrin Stark, Nirav Tolia, and Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg — to the Board of Directors of its holding company, Bitpanda Group AG.

Nirav Tolia is currently the CEO, President, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and Co-Founder of Nextdoor. He also currently serves as the Non-Executive Chair of Hedosophia and is a co-founding director of the William S. Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership at SMU’s Cox School of Business in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Katrin Stark previously joined McKinsey & Company, Inc., where she served in several roles. She has also held numerous leadership positions, including roles as a divisional board member and global head of portfolio management at Commerzbank AG.

Dr. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has held several senior political offices in Germany, including secretary general of the CSU, and also served as senior advisor to the European Commission and distinguished statesman at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies.
