The AI-powered email protection solution will be built on Check Point Email Security, which uses advanced AI to detect phishing attempts.
Cyber security solutions Check Point Software has partnered with telecommunications provider MyRepublic Business/Broadband (MR) to launch an AI-based email protection service.
Known as MyRepublic (MR) Email Guard, the solution aims to provide enterprise-grade email security to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with plug-and-play deployment and support by MyRepublic. This eliminates the need for SMEs to have a dedicated cybersecurity team.
The launch comes as the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) is pushing for enhanced baseline cyber hygiene under the Cyber Essentials (2025) framework. Email remains a key vector for phishing attempts on businesses, and the service aims to address the rising volume of sophisticated phishing and Business Email Compromise (BEC) attacks.
“Email remains the primary entry point for cyberattacks,” said Rebecca Law, Country Manager, Singapore at Check Point Software Technologies. “Our partnership with MyRepublic ensures SMEs in Singapore have access to the same prevention-first, AI-powered security that protects the world’s largest enterprises and smaller organisations.”
The service leans heavily on three key pillars to entice SMEs, focusing on its enterprise-grade security, seamless integration with standard platforms like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, all while allowing business owners to take a hands-off approach as the service will be managed by MyRepublic.
“In today’s digital economy, robust cybersecurity is a baseline requirement for business continuity,” said Lawrence Chan, Managing Director & Chief AI Officer at MyRepublic. “With this collaboration, we are democratising world-class protection, ensuring Singapore’s SME can defend themselves against AI-driven threats without the enterprise-level price tag, or the need for an in-house 24/7 security operations centre (SOC).”
