CoinMarketCap data show rising interest in BSC memecoins, tokenised equities, and AI-linked tokens.

Retail attention in the crypto market is spreading beyond established assets, with memecoins, tokenised equities, and AI-linked tokens appearing alongside major cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap’s trending rankings.

CoinMarketCap’s Community trending board includes a mix of Chinese-language BSC memecoins, Robinhood Chain-based tokens, tokenised US equities, and assets named after artificial intelligence companies. The data suggest that retail interest is becoming more fragmented as traders look beyond Bitcoin and other large-cap cryptocurrencies.

The Four.Meme ecosystem stands out among the smaller segments of the market. CoinMarketCap ranked it as the second-most trending narrative, with a market capitalisation of around US$1.07 billion and a 15.7% increase over seven days. The platform said the ecosystem outperformed the broader market by 65.5% on a volume-weighted basis over 24 hours.

The broader market is showing signs of increased altcoin activity too, with CoinMarketCap’s Altcoin Season Index rising from 27 to 43 over seven days, a 59.3% increase, placing the market in a transition phase according to the index.

At the same time, broader market conditions remain sensitive to monetary policy. CoinMarketCap said net dollar liquidity contracted 0.19% week on week. The platform classified the current market regime as “headwind tightening”, with a composite score of 54 out of 100.

The data come ahead of the US consumer price index release on September 11 and the Federal Reserve’s policy decision on September 16. CoinMarketCap’s prediction-market data placed the probability of Bitcoin closing above US$80,000 on September 8 at 43.5%, with the asset trading at US$79,709 in the supplied market snapshot.
