Aptos-based platform Decibel has added two spot markets, expanding its trading offerings beyond perpetuals.
Decentralised finance (DeFi) trading platform Decibel has launched two spot markets, BTC-USDC and APT-USDC, allowing users to trade these pairs. The launch expands the platform’s offerings beyond its existing perpetual markets and gives users more trading options.
Decibel users can now hold BTC or APT tokens and use them as collateral while hedging their exposure through perpetuals from the same account. Spot orders on Decibel are matched and settled on the Aptos mainnet with no off-chain order book.
Brylee Whatley, Head of Decibel Foundation, said: ” Traders want to be able to own assets, trade around those positions and manage risk without stitching together several different platforms. Adding spot is an important step toward giving them more of the markets and tools they expect in one place, while keeping that activity fully on-chain.”
In addition to introducing the new spot markets, the launch allows users to fund their accounts using supported wallets and exchanges and earn AMPs through spot trading. AMPs are Decibel’s native ecosystem points.
