DigiCert has entered the FedRAMP Marketplace as it pursues a new US government cloud security certification.

Digital trust provider DigiCert has been listed in the US government’s Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Marketplace with initial implementation status as it pursues certification under the modernised FedRAMP 20x framework.

FedRAMP helps federal agencies assess whether cloud services meet government security requirements, and its newer FedRAMP 20x framework places greater emphasis on automated security checks, continuous monitoring and measurable results.

DigiCert’s listing covers three services within its DigiCert ONE platform with features that track and manage digital certificates, verify that software is authentic, and allow organisations to create and manage their own private certificate authorities.

Lakshmi Hanspal, Chief Trust Officer of DigiCert, said: “By pursuing FedRAMP 20x, we are embracing a modern approach to security assurance that aligns with the automation and continuous protection government agencies need.”
