Future Caribbean hosts its first Agentic AI Assembly in Barbados, uniting global builders around open-source Agentic AI.
Future Caribbean has launched its inaugural Agentic AI Assembly, happening on July 10–12 in Bridgetown, Barbados, and hosted at the Inter-American Development Bank’s Barbados Country Office.
The three-day event brings together Agentic AI builders, founders, investors, and researchers for hands-on collaboration focused on open-source Agentic AI, with a livestream and regional satellite locations extending participation to a global audience.
The Assembly is the initiative’s next milestone after a rapid six-week build-up. Since launching its Global Open-Source Agentic AI Buildathon, Future Caribbean has drawn nearly 700 builders, founders, investors, advisors, judges, and ecosystem partners from around the world, with applications and participant recruitment continuing on a rolling basis.
The initiative frames the Caribbean’s fragmented landscape of currencies, legal systems, languages, and regulations as a proving ground for technology built to serve distributed markets more broadly, arguing that an approach that works across the region’s complexity could scale to other fragmented markets globally.
Programming at the Assembly includes technical workshops, live demonstrations, collaborative build sessions, and discussions on deploying AI agents against real-world challenges in finance, energy, healthcare, tourism, and climate resilience.
The event is led by Lily Dash, Founder of Future Caribbean and Co-Founder of ACTAI Advisors, alongside Steven Echtman, Founder of ClawCamp, with special guest Ajay Yadav of The Vibe. Future Caribbean’s partner network spans the New York Stock Exchange, IDB Invest, ACTAI Global, ACTAI Advisors, Cayman Enterprise City, Export Barbados, ClawCamp, Highrise AI, MiniMax, OWC, The OECS, and DMZ, among others.
Lily Dash, Founder of Future Caribbean, said: “In just a matter of weeks, we’ve seen incredible momentum from builders and partners who share the vision of creating the next generation of AI-native companies for and from distributed markets. The Assembly is about turning that momentum into collaboration while continuing to grow a global community of builders.”
The Assembly builds on the ongoing Global Open-Source Agentic AI Buildathon, which continues accepting applications ahead of its finals at the New York Stock Exchange later this year.
