Google has overhauled its Search engine with Gemini 3.5 Flash, introducing automated AI agents and custom generative user interfaces.

Google upgraded its core search engine by integrating its Gemini 3.5 Flash model to power autonomous AI agents and dynamic, customizable user interfaces. The deployment of these proactive information and automated booking systems shifts the traditional discovery model from a passive directory into an active, automated task-management ecosystem.

Gemini 3.5 Flash Search Box

The upgraded, AI-reimagined search box dynamically expands to accommodate complex, multi-modal questions using text, images, files, videos, or active browser tabs. The model acts as the new default engine globally, allowing users to naturally flow into continuous, contextual conversational follow-ups directly from initial overviews.

Search Agents for Tasks

The platform introduces background information agents that continuously monitor websites, blogs, and real-time financial or sports feeds based on user-defined criteria. Advanced booking capabilities and automated merchant calling features will roll out in the United States this summer to handle localized consumer logistics.

Google Antigravity Coding

Using Antigravity technology, the system builds custom generative user interfaces, interactive visuals, and custom-coded tracking applications on the fly. These tailored trackers function as personal mini-applications that update dynamically using real-time local data, maps, and weather sources for ongoing projects.

Personal Intelligence Expansion

Google is expanding its subscription-free Personal Intelligence feature to users across nearly 200 countries and territories. The privacy-focused integration allows individuals to securely connect personal data from ecosystem applications like Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Calendar.

Elizabeth Reid, VP, Search at Google: “The goal of Search has always been simple: to help you ask anything on your mind — from quick facts to the deep, complex or hyper-specific questions that can be hard to articulate.”
