Ground is expanding its on-chain yield platform into tokenised real-world assets while appointing financial veteran Stephanie Vaughan as COO.

Ground has announced its expansion into real-world assets (RWAs) alongside the appointment of Stephanie Vaughan as COO, marking the company’s evolution from a technology infrastructure startup into an enterprise fintech partner.

Building on a recent fundraise, Ground is extending its infrastructure beyond crypto-native yield to give clients access to real-world assets through a single API, with compliance and product teams able to tailor yield to their risk, return, and liquidity requirements across both RWA and crypto-native strategies.

To launch the expansion, Ground has named Centrifuge and Superstate as core integration partners, starting with tokenised T-bill funds managed by Janus Henderson (JTRSY) and Invesco (USTB), an AAA CLO strategy managed by Janus Henderson (JAAA), and a crypto basis strategy managed by Bitwise (USCC).

Vaughan brings years of experience building in DeFi, scaling secure digital asset platforms, and navigating the regulatory frameworks required for institutional adoption. Ground’s platform, including the new RWA offerings, is live today for all B2B and B2B2C API partners.

Bhaji Illuminati, CEO at Centrifuge, said: “Tokenisation’s unlock is when it’s an invisible layer that enables seamless, secure and customisable access to great investment products. Ground is doing just that. They’re building the exact infrastructure needed to connect traditional fintech with diversified real-world assets.”

Stephanie Vaughan, COO at Ground, said: “Traditional financial applications and neobanks are eager to offer performant yields and leverage found onchain, but they cannot afford to compromise on compliance or risk management. Ground has built the trusted, configurable plumbing that treats compliance as a feature, not a hurdle.”
