Hitachi Vantara has been named a Leader and Fast Mover in the 2026 GigaOm Radar for Unstructured Data Management.
Data storage and infrastructure provider Hitachi Vantara was named a Leader and Fast Mover in the 2026 GigaOm Radar for Unstructured Data Management for the sixth consecutive year. The recognition highlights the firm’s capabilities in governance, automation, and control across hybrid environments.
This designation is commercially significant as businesses increasingly look to improve visibility, reduce operational complexity, and prepare massive volumes of unstructured data for artificial intelligence and advanced analytics pipelines.
The platform addresses the challenge of managing growing volumes of documents, images, and sensor data, which can become sources of security exposure, compliance liability, and escalating storage costs without proper control.
GigaOm highlighted Hitachi Vantara’s Virtual Storage Platform One (VSP One), which uses automated policy enforcement, immutable object locks, and workflow integration to securely manage information.
Recent updates to VSP One Object include support for the next-generation O14 platform and metadata optimisations that improve small object input/output operations per second by up to four times.
Sunitha Rao, Senior Vice President and General Manager, hybrid cloud and AI infrastructure at Hitachi Vantara, said: “This recognition from GigaOm reinforces our focus on helping customers reduce risk, simplify unstructured data management and build a trusted foundation for AI, analytics and mission-critical operations.”
