Keeper Security has introduced on-device AI phishing protection that detects suspicious websites and warns users immediately.
Cybersecurity provider Keeper Security has launched Phishing Protection, a new feature in its browser extension that uses on-device AI to warn users before they enter credentials on fraudulent websites.
The feature is designed to detect look-alike domains, spoofed websites and attempts to impersonate legitimate brands. It runs a local AI model on the user’s device, allowing it to examine websites without sharing the user’s data, according to Keeper.
When the feature detects a suspicious website, it alerts the user and explains the threat indicators it identified. Users can review the warning, dismiss it or disable Keeper on that site. They can also restore access or re-enable autofill through the blocked-sites list.
Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said: “It delivers continuous, proactive verification of web assets, ensuring that autofill is protected against sophisticated domain spoofing without creating a privacy trade-off.”
