Keeper Security launches Keeper Universal Secrets Sync to eliminate credential drift across multi-cloud environments.
Identity security solutions provider Keeper Security launched its Keeper Universal Secrets Sync capability within its Privileged Access Management platform to automatically distribute rotated credentials across external cloud environments.
This launch allows multi-cloud organisations to maintain consistent privileged access control across platform pipelines, reducing operational downtime and preventing unauthorised access caused by uncoordinated credential updates.
The capability directly solves the problem of secrets drift, where credentials stored in a security platform fall out of sync with active privileges running in production environments.
The software monitors shared folders and updates targets, including AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault and Google Cloud Secret Manager without requiring manual scripts. A preview feature allows security teams to audit planned credential changes before distribution to comply with internal enterprise change control protocols.
Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said: “Organisations unknowingly leave stale credentials active in downstream cloud environments when distribution is manual. Universal Secrets Sync makes distribution automatic and auditable.”
