LexisNexis Risk Solutions upgrades IDVerse with advanced deepfake detection and biometric verification to combat digital fraud.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions has released an enhanced version of LexisNexis IDVerse, its document and biometric verification solution, designed to help organisations counter deepfake fraud, synthetic identities, and account takeovers while streamlining user onboarding.
IDVerse uses proprietary AI models to authenticate documents and verify users through biometric face matching and liveness checks. The latest upgrade focuses on improving verification accuracy, enhancing deepfake detection, and reducing friction by simplifying the user journey.
The platform integrates with the LexisNexis Dynamic Decision Platform, providing a single API for device risk detection, digital identity profiling, behavioural risk analysis, and fraud controls, enabling organisations to orchestrate identity checks within a unified workflow.

Key capabilities include global coverage for government-issued photo IDs across more than 220 countries and territories, with support for over 140 languages and typesets. A “conceal mode” hides the user’s image on screen while a selfie is taken, a design intended to encourage natural behaviour, improve liveness detection, and reduce abandonment.
IDVerse also incorporates server-side deepfake detection to identify sophisticated impersonation attempts without requiring additional user actions. By integrating IDVerse into a broader decisioning platform, LexisNexis Risk Solutions aims to give financial services a more complete view of identity risk.
