Mimecast has launched Singapore data hosting with AWS, allowing new customers to store and process data from day one.

Cloud-based cybersecurity provider Mimecast has launched data hosting in Singapore, allowing new customers to have their data stored and processed in the country.

The capability is available to customers across Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Working in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the regional infrastructure runs the same code and underlying systems as other hosting regions.

The deployment is designed to meet the same performance and reliability standards as other regions that Mimecast serves, while giving customers access to Singapore-based data storage and processing.

Pravar Gautam, Director, APJ Partner Core at AWS, said: “By hosting Mimecast’s platform in our Singapore region, we’re helping organisations meet that requirement without sacrificing the advanced security and compliance capabilities they need.”

The move provides new customers with an option to keep their data in Singapore from day one.
