Ripple expands GSmart with policy-governed AI for forecasting, liquidity, and risk, while keeping financial approvals under human control.
Ripple has expanded GSmart, the AI capabilities built into its Ripple Treasury platform, with new tools including those for forecasting, liquidity, risk, and reporting.
The latest expansion adds policy-governed AI capabilities intended to help finance teams make faster decisions while retaining the controls and auditability for financial operations. Deterministic engines perform the calculations behind financial decisions, while AI is used to interpret policies, identify patterns and explain recommendations.
GSmart’s expanded capabilities include orchestrated agents covering areas such as forecasting, liquidity, and reporting. Each agent monitors its assigned process, proposes an action, and cites the relevant policy clause before waiting for human approval.
Ripple said adoption of the existing capabilities is already underway among its enterprise customers, with around 60% of eligible customers enabling Risk Insights which identifies exposure anomalies and policy breaches.
Renaat Ver Eecke, SVP of Ripple Treasury, said: “Rather than asking customers to blindly trust an AI system, GSmart works within each organisation’s own treasury policies to surface recommendations transparently, while ensuring humans remain in control of every decision.”
