SenseTime announced the launch of its new AI-powered Beauty Agent, designed to combine natural language commands with AI-driven decision-making and a beauty software development kit (SDK) to deliver more natural effects.
The Beauty Agent supposedly avoids the “plastic look” associated with excessive retouching, and positioned the launch as creating additional growth opportunities as live streaming and short-video markets expand. The company said the Beauty Agent supports use cases including live streaming, short-form video platforms, and beauty camera apps.
SenseTime said the system can interpret subjective requests such as “radiant skin and refreshed look,” “camera-ready yet authentic,” or “vibe-rich.” The Beauty Agent analyses facial features, skin texture, proportions, and usage scenarios, including photos, short videos, and live streaming, to determine what to enhance, how much, and what to preserve for authenticity.
Other features of the Beauty Agent include one-click beautification, interactive photo editing, and style-driven makeup.
