SenseTime is offering up to 30 scholarships of RMB 20,000 each to undergraduates pursuing research in artificial intelligence and related fields.
AI software company Sensetime announced the opening of applications for its 2026 SenseTime Scholarship. Now in its tenth year, the programme is available to undergraduate students in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong who are studying technology-related disciplines and intend to pursue research in artificial intelligence (AI).
The programme will award up to 30 scholarships, with each recipient receiving RMB 20,000. Beyond financial support, awardees are provided with priority access to internships, summer research programmes and one-to-one mentorship from professional advisors throughout their
studies.
The initiative is intended to foster local talent and support the research and development ecosystem in Hong Kong, where the company’s headquarters and key R&D centre are located.
Eligible applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in their first to third year of study. Relevant majors include computer science, electronics, automation, software engineering, integrated circuits, mathematics and physics.
The selection process focuses on students engaged in research areas such as computer vision, deep learning, natural language processing, embodied intelligence and high-performance computing.
Recipients of the scholarship are granted access to SenseTime’s large-scale computing clusters and data resources. The programme also includes a series of academic events, such as a podcast series, a tenth-anniversary academic forum and a summer camp culminating in an award ceremony. These platforms are designed to facilitate dialogue and academic exchange between students and senior engineers.
Applications are processed via the official SenseTime Scholarship website, with interviews for shortlisted candidates following the submission deadline.
