The Singapore Islamic Finance Forum 2025 aims to address AI ethics, LLM-driven finance, and regulatory guardrails for digital conduct.

The Singapore Islamic Finance Forum (SIFF) 2025, taking place during the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF), will discuss the ethical and regulatory implications of technologies like AI at the centre of its agenda.

The Singapore Islamic Finance Forum will feature high-level discussions on digital governance and moral responsibility in finance. Former central banker Tan Sri Andrew Sheng will address how regulators must rethink their approach to digital finance, while Tan Sri Azman Hj. Mokhtar, former Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional, will discuss governance frameworks that align moral ideals with long-term capital stewardship.

Happening on 13 November 2025, the forum brings together financial regulators, fintech innovators, and compliance leaders to explore how frontier technology and Islamic finance can coexist under robust governance.

In the Scholars’ Dialogue, experts will examine how emerging technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs) can enhance ethical finance. Prof. Dr Belal Ehsan Baaquie will present how LLMs can support Shariah-compliant financial product design, while Dr Zul Hakim Jumat will propose integrated frameworks that combine Shariah and ESG screening.

A closed-door roundtable will address digital integrity and consumer protection, focusing on ethical marketing and professional accountability in Islamic financial advice. Legal expert Encik Ahmad Khalis will contribute compliance insights to help shape governance mechanisms that prevent mis-selling and protect community trust (amanah).

The event, organised by Islamic Finance Singapore Ltd (IFSG), aims to build a consensus-driven framework that upholds transparency and professionalism within the Muslim financial community.

“Setting guardrails is not about restriction but preservation – of amanah, credibility, and the dignity of the profession,” said Muhammad Ridhwaan Radzi, CEO of IFSG.
