Agnes AI enters global rankings alongside Google and OpenAI, supporting a national initiative to upskill 40,000 Singaporean tech professionals.

Agnes AI, a Singapore-headquartered artificial intelligence company, announced that its proprietary multimodal foundation models have entered the global top 10 rankings across three independent benchmarks.

The company now appears alongside organisations such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and DeepSeek in evaluations conducted by Claw-Eval, Artificial Analysis, and PinchBench.

The inclusion follows the company’s participation in the Singapore National AI Impact Programme. Launched with the support of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and AI Singapore, the initiative is designed to upskill 40,000 tech professionals. The programme aims to help Singapore move from adopting AI technology to developing sovereign systems and infrastructure.

Alex Ang, Co-Founder of Agnes AI, said: “Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0 set out a clear ambition: that Singapore should be a builder of AI, not merely an adopter of it. These benchmark results are evidence that this ambition is being realised.”

The benchmarks evaluate agentic model performance, as well as multimodal and image processing capabilities. PinchBench specifically assesses agentic model performance. The results indicate that the Singapore-based lab is maintaining performance parity with larger international labs.

Beyond technical performance, Agnes AI’s role in the national upskilling initiative focuses on providing accessible AI tools to emerging markets. By training models locally, the company aims to offer cost-efficient alternatives to foreign-developed systems.

The integration of these models into the national talent strategy is intended to provide tech professionals with practical exposure to domestically produced AI infrastructure as Singapore pursues its long-term development goals.
