SOL Strategies has acquired Solana-native startup Darklake Labs for US$1.2 million to integrate zero-knowledge proof systems into its platform.

SOL Strategies Inc. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Solana-native company Darklake Labs Pte. Ltd

Darklake Labs specialise in zero-knowledge (ZK) privacy solutions and developed Zyga, a ZK-proof system built for the Solana blockchain. The technology is designed to enable private transaction execution and prevent front-running and sandwich attacks during execution.

As part of the agreement, the founders and core team of Darklake are expected to join SOL Strategies. This includes Vitor Py Braga, Darklake’s CEO and technical founder; Amber Hales, co-founder and COO; and Tiago Alves, a university professor and Head of ZK Research at Darklake.

Michael Hubbard, CEO of SOL Strategies, said: “We are incredibly excited to bring on the team to help shape our growing roadmap and strengthen our engineering capacity. We believe this is the right team and technology at the right time and their expertise will help execute our goals.”

By acquiring the Zyga system and its associated patents, SOL Strategies intends to provide privacy features intended for institutional and decentralised finance applications on the Solana network.
