Sumsub brings reusable, on-chain identity to Caliber’s offering, supporting compliant participation in tokenised real estate.
Identity verification platform Sumsub announced that it will be supporting investor onboarding for PURE Pickleball & Padel, the first real estate investment on Caliber’s platform to be tokenised.
The product gives investors the option to receive a tokenised digital ownership certificate in place of a printed certificate. Before the tokenised asset is issued, Sumsub conducts know-your-customer (KYC), sanctions screening, and anti-money-laundering checks on the investor.
Once the checks are complete, a programmable, on-chain accredited investor credential is issued within Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) based on the investor’s profile. Since the credential is reusable, investors only need to be verified once.
Chris Loeffler, Chief Executive Officer of Caliber, said: “We are not changing what investors own. We are applying better technology to make private real estate ownership more transparent, more efficient and ultimately more functional.”
Ilya Brovin, Chief Growth Officer at Sumsub, said: “We are powering an investor identity that can travel with someone across other tokenised RWA opportunities, not just this one.”
