Tenable and OpenAI are developing a review process to assess AI agents, MCP servers, and other components before deployment.
Exposure management company Tenable is collaborating with OpenAI to develop a security review process for AI agents and other community-built components, aimed at helping enterprises assess risks before deployment.
Announced at OpenAI’s Intelligence at Work: Cyber Summit, the CyberAgents Exchange AI Inspector combines OpenAI GPT cyber models with Tenable’s security technology and researcher expertise. The process aims to review AI agents, skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and multi-agent playbooks available through Tenable’s CyberAgents Exchange.
The AI Inspector will use OpenAI’s models for frontier security assessment, while Tenable One AI Exposure will be used to inspect the skills and components being reviewed. The latter is expected to become available later in September.
Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer at Tenable, said: “By combining OpenAI GPT cyber models with Tenable’s security expertise and researcher review, we’re building a more rigorous way to inspect community-built AI components before they’re used in enterprise environments.”
