Tenable OPEN for AI connects security tools and AI models to help teams investigate threats and coordinate remediation across platforms.
Exposure management company Tenable has expanded its ecosystem with Tenable OPEN for AI, a set of validated AI workflows designed to help security teams investigate risks, prioritise vulnerabilities, and take action across different security platforms.
The initiative is part of the Tenable Open Partner Exchange Network (OPEN), the company’s technology partner programme. It enables organisations to combine Tenable’s exposure intelligence with their preferred AI models, agents and tools, without being restricted to a single proprietary platform.
By connecting the Tenable Hexa AI MCP Server with partner MCP servers through AI tools that customers already use, security teams can query data across multiple vendors and coordinate actions without developing custom software.
The initial use cases focus on connecting security data across different stages. This includes combining network telemetry with asset exposure data, correlating application vulnerabilities with runtime exposure, and incorporating privileged identity information into risk assessments.
Another workflow, developed with SentinelOne, allows security teams to investigate alerts, vulnerable assets and misconfigurations using natural language through a single AI chat interface.
Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer at Tenable, said: “By supporting both standardised MCP connectors and direct APIs, Tenable OPEN for AI provides security teams complete freedom to integrate their AI tools of choice and build custom, agentic workflows without artificial restrictions or forcing reliance on a single proprietary platform.”
Melissa K. Smith, SVP Global Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives at SentinelOne, added: “Together, we’re delivering a cross-platform triage engine that prioritises risk based on context-rich, real-world insights without requiring complex custom integrations.”
