Tencent Cloud integrates HY 3D Global APIs into ComfyUI, allowing creators to generate 3D models from text, images and sketches via native nodes.
Tencent Cloud, the cloud business arm of Tencent,has partnered ComfyUI to integrate 3D generative AI workflows into the ComfyUI platform. This collaboration makes Tencent HY 3D Global available as native nodes, allowing users to incorporate 3D generation into their existing pipelines.
ComfyUI is an open-source, node-based platform used for generative content creation. It currently maintains over 105,000 GitHub stars and an ecosystem of 60,000 custom nodes. The integration of Tencent’s APIs into this environment provides users with direct access to 3D modelling tools from within the ComfyUI interface.
The technical core of the integration involves the Tencent HY 3D Global 3.0 APIs. These tools support the generation of 3D models from text prompts, 2D images and sketches. Additionally, the update includes several functions designed for production tasks.
3D Parts Decomposition enables the separation of complex models into editable segments, while UV unwrapping prepares those models for the application of textures. Smart Topology is also included to create meshes that meet the structural requirements of animation and simulation software.
