Trace Finance won the Grand Prix at the 2026 Money Awards for its regulated infrastructure supporting institutional cross-border payments.

Financial infrastructure provider Trace Finance has won the Grand Prix at the 2026 Money Awards for its work on regulated cross-border payment infrastructure.

The company received the Growth Stage Startup award in the Payments & Commerce category for its entry, “Transforming Cross-Border Payments Through Regulated Infrastructure”. The Grand Prix is the programme’s highest accolade, sitting above its other awards.

The award was presented on 18 October at Sunday Night Live x The Money Awards during Money20/20 USA in Las Vegas, with the judging panel recognising Trace’s approach to the challenge of compliant local payments in stablecoin-based business transactions.

Trace initially built its infrastructure in Brazil, and the award comes as Brazil tightens its rules for cross-border virtual asset transactions. The country now classifies these flows as foreign exchange operations, and its central bank moved earlier in 2026 against fund-based structures used to route stablecoin flows outside FX rules.

Bernardo Brites, Co-Founder and CEO of Trace Finance, said: “Being recognised with the Grand Prix on Money20/20’s biggest stage tells us the industry sees regulation the way we do: as infrastructure, not friction. This belongs to our team and to the partners who trust us with their flows every day.”
