Bitcoin ETFs face record outflows, AI leaders push global safety talks, and Apple teams with Google to supercharge Siri.

What’s up, Pasar Crew?

Crypto markets and AI innovation both took sharp turns this week. Bitcoin ETFs saw record outflows even as BTC held steady near the US$100,000 mark, while Ethereum faltered below US$3,400 amid investor caution and broader economic uncertainty.

In regulatory and policy circles, a US court declared a mistrial in the US$25 million Ethereum ‘sandwich bot’ case, raising deeper questions about how traditional law applies to decentralised finance. Meanwhile, Pakistan explored a rupee-backed stablecoin, and Italian banks urged a phased rollout for the digital euro to ease cost burdens.

AI governance and safety continued to dominate global discussions. At the UN, world leaders convened to address rising risks from agentic AI systems, while OpenAI rolled out its Teen Safety Blueprint to guide responsible development. Big Tech also made notable moves: Apple is enhancing Siri with Google’s Gemini model, Microsoft is pursuing “humanist superintelligence”, and Amazon launched a translation tool for Kindle authors to reach new audiences.
