SurR.Ai launched a blockchain-based artwork linking AI authorship while applying Bitcoin-inspired mathematical logic.

Digital art collectibles platform SurR.Ai has unveiled a new audiovisual project that explores how authorship can be defined in the age of artificial intelligence, drawing on concepts from early mathematical theory and modern blockchain systems.

Titled SurR: The System of Temporal Law, the artwork is a 62-second piece that connects the mathematical theories of Russian futurist Velimir Khlebnikov with cryptographic principles introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto.

The audiovisual project aims to address a growing question in the digital era, which is who owns the content generated with the help of AI. The artwork was minted on the Ethereum blockchain on 30 April.

According to SurR.Ai, the piece is designed as more than a standalone artwork. It follows a defined mathematical structure, with its 62-second duration based on a specific numerical formula. The visual sequence progresses from fragmented imagery to more ordered forms, reflecting how blockchain systems move from uncertainty to confirmed states.

Vladi Lepi, Founder of SurR.Ai, said: “Bitcoin changed how we think about time in systems. This work applies that same logic to authorship. AI can generate endlessly, but authorship still depends on structure and human direction.”

The release comes as interest grows around ownership and attribution in AI-generated media, particularly as tools for automated content creation become more widely used.
